FEEDBACK from the 4th Annual BEE Conference, December 2010
Following the success of the 4rd Annual BEE Conference in December 2010, we bring you a selection of the feedback from our delegates:
"Enlightening. As a person still on a learning curve, I can say that on the topics of ED and ESD/ Procurement I learned a lot".
Gaontebale Vivian Letsholonyane, Gauteng Gambling Board
"All the BEE elements well explained. Gained more understanding on how to claim points on ED".
N. Genu, Amatola Water
"The various presentations were very informative. Good mix of speakers on different topics. DTI had good comments and responses to questions raised and gave clarity where needed".
Zalphinia Mvula, Metropolitan
"Status up-date i.e. research findings, etc. Practical information sharing".
Lesego Kobue, Gauteng Gambling Board
"Sisa Ntsona’s presentation was excellent - very thought provoking - you need more speakers like him. First day could have been better, verification agency reaction was not so relevant to everyone. Duncan was very good in the last session of the afternoon, good for afternoon of last day. Support staff very engaging, friendly and accessible"
G. Mothoagae, ABI
"The case studies are great! We can learn from each other and therefore transform quicker".
Lorraine Bezuidenhout, Anchor Yeast
"Sisa and Hepsy’s presentation were excellent and well prepared. Speakers who came prepared and know they subjects very well, made the conference interesting and value adding. To mention but a few: Hepsy Mkhungo, Sisa Ntshona, Zin Mabaso were interacting with the audience at all the time. Duncan last presentation was excellent and much better than the first one. However, time slot might be challenge as he was at the last day of the conference and right at the end. Ryan was the best host, and an investment to his company."
Nowo Mphahlele, ABI
"Liked the Best practice case studies".
Thandi Ngwenya, Joy Global
"Networking, wealth of information and practical examples we were exposed to".
Lynne Erasmus, SARS
"Loved the team, very organized".
Lesego Katata, Xstrata, Merafe-Boshoek Works
"Good choice of topics. Interesting information case studies".
Chido Hove, T-systems
"Participation by attendees was constructive and very positive. It covered all the key best areas where practitioners are finding challenges. Got positive input from case studies by companies that are in the forefront of transformation. Got comprehensive information on the new Act and the impact that would have on the current BEE process, measurement and reporting".
Brian Cokoto, Altech Card Solution
"Goodnews Cadogan – what an amazing human being – an excellent, well-presented presentation that I learnt so much from. This should have been the opening presentation of the conference when everyone was together".
Chantal Naidoo, Bulk Connections
"The case studies where one received examples and experiences related, were very interesting. Loved the human value chain but the village speaker is far too academic - lost his impact."
